The Enclave Civil war started out as a disagreement between the homeland Enclave in Sateda who hadn’t see any fighting and were removed from the reality of the war. And the Asia Enclave which had done all the fighting but were still under the control of the homeland enclave. This came to ahead with the Asia enclave ordered to attack both America and Africa at once.
This caused the Asia general to allow a modification to the male stock increasing their intelligence making them able to preform skilled co-ordinated attack.
This was in-turn seen as a dangerous blaspheme by the Sateda’s and the General was called back to answer for her actions. Instead the General sent the following reply.
“fuck off I have a war to win”
outraged they ordered the Lower Generals in Asia to arrest the general With half the Asian lower ranks loyal to the homeland and the others loyal to the general They began fighting. The homeland sent troops in to give the Loyalist the edge. Out numbered and fighting a war on three fronts the General permitted a new modification heighten aggression When the experiments back fired. The males became rabid and uncontrollable She instead turned it into a weapon. Putting the modification into the loyalists drinking supply How ever this was much more effective then the general imagined and suddenly total chaos was every where and all order was lost. The modification even made it back to the Sateda main land and violence engulfed everywhere.
With the Enclave of the Bear still in complete disarray the others rushed to repair and rebuild. Unable to continue the fighting a temporary cease fire was made witch turned into the Long Quite. After a generation of peace, the building of cities and families, most of the population of this new still unnamed world are from this very world. For those at the bottom the memoires of the Old world are nothing but bedtime stories and the other Fractions are mysterious boogie men safely far away.
How ever for those at the top, the fires of ambition still burn. They wait for any sign of weakness from the other Fractions. And after nearly 100 years the quite night is shattered.
The third war starts with Die Mechaniker invading the Enclaves HQ of Sateda (the renamed Australasia). A sudden assault which leaves devastates what’s left the Enclave in Sateda and sends the survivor as refugees into Asia. With this sudden act of violence the others quickly spring into action. The Imperial Balkania who were stuck in the damaged South America quickly Invade Africa and drive out the remaining Die Mechaniker forces. Meanwhile during the Long Quite The Saharan Republic had unified in Hyrule (the renamed Europe) and The Khan Industries in North America.
The Die Mechaniker onslaught of Sateda is quick and brutal with the old Enclave HQ being rebuilt into Die Mechaniker’s new home and the nearby settlements. Damaged from the Enclave’s civil war are turned into the city of Bingtown.
To the East in Africa The Imperials in-turn transform the old Die Mechaniker HQ into the Island city of Chulak. With the base secure they march northwards overrunning the few pockets of Die Mechaniker resistance and controlling all of Africa.
In North America the Khan’s believing themselves far removed from the other Fractions quickly expand their control of the continent and believing themselves safe behind the walls of Greenland stretch themselves thin. Realising they were very close to The Saharan Republic’s HQ they send diplomats out to secure a non-aggression pact along the Greenland-Iceland boarder.
In Hyrule with The Saharan Republic’s HQ so close to the Khan’s front-line and the prise of the famed defences of Greenland’s great wall, the offer of a non-aggression is dismissed and the undermanned Greenland is quickly overrun and properly supplied by The Saharan Republic for a long and bloody siege.
The Khans not expecting such sudden aggression are unable to rally and become mired in indecision. Unwilling to assault Greenland but also afraid of further invasion by The Saharan Republic and they are forced to send all remaining troops to hold the Eastern Front.
Back in Sateda Die Mechaniker continue the Enclave’s slaughter by expanding into Southern Asia. Mile by mile they conquer the disorganised Enclave forces until they reach China where the supply chains become stretched to capacity and they are forced to wait.
Meanwhile The Imperials scouts report back the state of the other Fractions. Seeing the Khan’s weakness they send an elite force to rejoin South America into the Empire. Despite much of the land there being heavily damaged the resources from there would be a great boon to the Imperials and the pride of having Luthadel again would give the Empire as a whole a huge morale boost.
North in Hyrule The Saharan Republic hold firmly onto the prize of Greenland. Repelling several weak attempts by the Khan’s to retake it. How ever in the Republic disagreements emerge over the next course of action. With many wishing to capitalise on the gains in North America and turn them into a full invasion. While others wish to expand and control all of Hyrule. Watching the Imperials and The Die Mechaniker’s expansions as potential threats. With the Tribes locked in discussion the assembled troops do nothing but gather in force.
For the Kahn’s the situation was grim. Failures on the Eastern front that was a drain on their limited resources and now to the South a force of the Imperials greatest warriors had landed and were quickly claiming the land. In desperation they tried diplomacy again. Hoping for my luck from the civilised Imperial Balkania. After days of bluffing and blatant a boarder was established. The Khans wouldn’t invade South America and could focus on the Eastern Front. While The Imperial Balkania would have the resources of South America but only need to leave a small force to control the territory.
Die Mechaniker seeing that the Imperials had control of two continents and were the biggest threat turned their attention away from the remains of the Enclave and to Africa. Heading to The Middle East They reinforced the Defensive there and start the long slow war trying to push into Egypt.
With Die Mechaniker and Imperial Balkania in a protracted battle The Saharian Republic forces tired of the infighting amongst it’s leaders head out to claim the rest of Hyrule. Only stopping when word gets back to the tribal leaders who call for the arrest of the young general leading the Republic’s forces. How ever with the support of the soldiers the general is instead mealy ordered to wait at Western Europe while the leaders continue their incessant arguing.
With two fractions on their doorstep the Imperials pre-pair for the onslaught. Their diplomats talk to the Khan Industries trying to promote a joint offensive with the Imperials attacking from Africa while the Khan’s attack across Greenland.
The Khan’s with the alliance once again try to break down the Great Walls of Greenland. Once again thousands of lives are wasted in the attempt and the Khans again can do nothing but reinforce their own lands waiting for the counter attack. While the majority of the Khan Industries are focused on the Eastern front one Chairwoman took the bold move of expanding into Asia West to East. Slowly diverting forces into the weakly held North Asia Lands of the Enclave.
Once fortifications were complete Die Mechaniker Swarmed down into Egypt. With a slow and steady march and with a heavy cost they pushed onwards.
Seeing an opportunity the Republic general again with out orders marched his troops onwards. With the Imperials weakened from the Die Mechaniker assault the Republic held the advantage pushing deeper into North Africa. How ever as they called for reinforcements they got no reply.
With the situation grim The Imperials again turned to the Khans for assistance but with so few troops from the previous attempt to take Greenland none were forthcoming Instead the Empire readied themselves for more battle and pushed hard slowing and then eventually halting The Die Mechaniker forces. How ever the hated enemy was only a stones throw away from their HQ.
Just as their attack was halted the Die Mechaniker forces revived a massive enforcement and prepared for the final assault to take the Imperial HQ. As they marched forward and battle began they started to gain the advantage. Soon they would be in the city itself and once that fell all of Africa would be theirs again. How ever fate was agent them as from the West their radar detected a single incoming object. Too small for a plane and travelling too fast for the ground defensive to target. Just as the Die Mechaniker sensors could make out what it was the Nuclear missile denoted.
With the attacking forces devastated from the unexpected add The Imperials rallied and went on the assault Pushing through the irradiate waste land they threw themselves and reclaimed their homeland. All but a few of the Republic’s forces were crushed and the Die Mechaniker were driven all the way back to their Middle Eastern defensive.
The unexpected Khan intervention in Africa surprised the Republic. With the Leaders of the homeland using this as an opportunity to get rid off the young upstart general they purposefully withheld reinforcements witch lead to the complete destruction of the African forces. How ever this callous disregard of the armies hero lead to several other general defecting and leading their own troops into Western Asia trying to claim their own lands to rule.
The sudden defeat and routing of it’s forces made The Die Mechaniker rethink their strategies Noticing the slow in-crouching of the Khans from North America and the Republics bold push into West Asia they split there forces. Half holding the Imperials in Africa and the other half driving into Hyrule with the aim of calming their HQ.
After preventing the invasion of The Imperials HQ Khan Industries had a renewed confidence in themselves. Again they futility attacked Greenland but the Asian expansion increased taking the City of Rapture and finally coming into contact with Die Mechaniker and The Saharan Republic from the East.
With complete control of Africa again The Imperials carried on their march to victory. Driving deep into Hyrule they took country after country finally over extending themselves in the British city of Faerie.
Driving up behind the Imperials Die Mechaniker took the other half of Hyrule scattering the Republics forces and pushing past the city of Faerie to assault the Republic’s HQ. With a robotic precision they killed all that stood agents them.
The Republic survivors were forced to flee either West to the citadel of Greenland or to the newly taken lands in West Asia. But even though they had lost their HQ and needed unity the Republic again fell to infighting. With many of those in Greenland wishing to attack the Khan’s and claim their lands. How ever when they did strike they could never capitalise on their gains.
The Khan’s embolden by the Republic’s down fall turn on the full offensive Attacking the remaining Republic forces in North America and pushing the Die Mechaniker forces down towards Sateda. Finally retaking Greenland.
The Battle for Hyrule was far from over with both The Imperial Balkania and Die Mechaniker in a meat grinder battle with massive losses on both side but nether wishing the fall back.
How ever such a massive loss of life couldn’t go on unabated for ever.
Through out the 3rd war cracks in the unity of the fractions began to show. With most of the population now born in this world and the younger generations born to a time of peace. Out side of the Fractions HQ’s the philosophies and mindsets of the population changed.
This is most noticeable in the new cites that had been built. As they had changed hands several times now the population was now a mixture of people from different fractions and refugees wishing to escape the HQ’s oppression These cities at the start of the war declared independence or at least hindered the war effort by not wishing to send troops and resources.
Also in the peace time the boarder settlement had often broken the isolation agreement. Especially the Khans and the Republic who started trading with the others and in some places even set up their own trading district when anyone could come many settled down here. All through out these regions a new identity was made. Not of Republic or Khan or Imperial but of this new world.
When the 3rd war came and suddenly the people were told to fight for a cause they had never fully belonged to and homelands they had never seen they were at first confused. Then Frightened as the soldiers came. And then after they had loved ones taken away to fight and seen their neighbours removed to purification camps. Then they became angry.
All around the world these little fires of anger sprung up until it was an infernal of war and blood.
In some locations the fraction forces quelled the rebellion and maintained order, at the cost of sending the rebels into the wilderness In others the fighting drew outside forces in, as the other forces were welcomed as liberators they were made clear that if they went to far rebellion would erupt again. And in a few the rebels won, driving out the fraction forces and declaring themselves independent.
